Did you know? Whiteshell facts that Wow!
Whiteshell nearly became a National Park. In 1927, it was proposed as Manitoba’s first National Park, although Riding Mountain was ultimately chosen instead. Whiteshell became a Provincial Park several years later, in 1961, following the passage of the Provincial Parks Act.

⛓️🪚 West Hawk Chainsaw Carving Challenge 🪚⛓️
Location: Across from the Esso at West Hawk Lake.
Date: Aug 23-25 10:00 am-5:00 pm

Carving begins at 10:00 a.m. daily, with quick carves from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Carvers will have many carvings on display for sale throughout the weekend. There will be an auction at 4:00 p.m. Sunday. Come check it out.
